In order to develop your understanding of calculus it is useful to study the development of calculus from first principles. In order to do so you are required to locate and study suitable material on the topic ‘’Differentiation from First Principles’’. Having studied the material you should then use differentiation from first principles to demonstrate that the first derivative of the function y = x3 is 3x2
