Giżycko is the biggest town of the Great Mazurian Lakeland.
Giżycko is called „The Summer Capital of Poland” because it is very popular and thousands of tourists come to visit the city.
There are many interesting things to see in Giżycko. The most interesting is the drawbridge over the Łuczański Canal from the 19th century. It’s the only one drawbridge in Poland.
There are also some tenement houses from the turn of the 20th century which are worth seeing.
One of the most interesting places in the town is the water-tower from the end of the 19th century.
You can go swimming, sailing, canoeing and sun bathing and fishing in Giżycko because it has many beautiful beaches and lakes.
