Selena Marie Gomez – amerykańska aktorka i piosenkarka pochodzenia meksykańskiego, dorastała w Grand Prairie w Teksasie. Obecnie gra Alex Russo w serialu "Czarodzieje z Waverly Place". Od września 2009 roku pełni funkcję ambasadora UNICEF.
Pierwszy raz pojawiła się w serialu Barney i przyjaciele jako Gianna. Została odkryta przez Disneya w wieku 12 lat. W roku 2006 dostała gościnną rolę w drugim sezonie w Nie ma to jak hotel jako Gwen w odcinku Koszmar letniej nocy. Disney postanowił "zainwestować" w młodą gwiazdkę. Dziewczyna gra Alex Russo w serialu Czarodzieje z Waverly Place. Selena zagrała główną rolę w filmie Kopciuszek: Roztańczona historia, Disney Channel Original Movie Program ochrony Księżniczek kręconym w Puerto Rico z Demi Lovato i w Czarodziejach z Waverly place Film. W 2008 wzięła udział w Igrzyskach Disney Channel.
Śpiewać zaczęła w serialu dla dzieci Barney i przyjaciele. Następnie po otrzymaniu kilku drobnych ról w serialach Disneya, dostała własny serial Czarodzieje z Waverly Place. Her birth parents divorced when she was five years old, and she was raised as an only child by her working mother. In 2006, Mandy remarried Brian Teefey. She is named after Tejano singer Selena. In a 2009 interview with People, Gomez mentioned that she developed an early interest in acting from watching her mother prepare for and act in theater productions. She earned a high school diploma through homeschooling in May 2010.
