A vehicle of mass 750kg accelerates uniformly from rest a velocity of 100km/h. The acceleration takes a time of 14 seconds while ascending a 1 in 6 gradient. The frictional resistance to motion is 0.7 kN.
Making use of D'Alembert's principle, determine:
a) The tractive effort between the wheels and the road surface.
b) The work done in ascending the slope
c) The average power developed.

Please see the attached file.
In the Polish version there was nothing about the vehicle is "ascending" (or I missed that information) so my Polish solution is wrong. Actually it is not wrong but improper, describes a car which is accelerating downhill, if I remeber.
